<p>The manual includes the clinical pharmacological approaches in the treatment of the following basic socially significant diseases: arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease, thromboembolism, chronic heart failure, diabetes, bronchial asthma, peptic ulcer disease, pain therapy, glucocorticoid therapy, osteoporosis, bacterial infections, pneumonia, and urinary tract infections. The topics are divided into separate chapters and structured in a way that defines the problem, indicates the treatment purpose and most importantly, outlines the pharmacological treatment: medicaments, groups of medicines, preparations, dosage, tables with indications and counter indications, causes, risks, costs, quantities, etc. Each topic ends with references and clinical cases for the students.</p>
